Celebrating over 37 years of recreational paddling in British Columbia
The Dogwood Canoe Club is a group of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities who share a love of paddling, the outdoors and a respect for the environment.

We paddle solo and tandem canoes and kayaks on flat water, moving water, oceans, estuaries, lakes, and ponds. Organized trips are planned from March to November. In the winter you will find many of us skiing the hills or at the pool trying to nail that roll.

Membership includes free training, monthly newsletter, social activities, monthly meetings with slide shows and refreshments, and a whole lot of paddling fun.

Our Mission
The dogwood Canoe Club is a society Incorporated under the Society Act of B.C.. Our main purpose is to unite persons interested in recreational paddling and to promote the safe and responsible use of our navigable waters.
About The Club
The Dogwood Canoe Club was founded in 1964 and has been a dynamic part of British Columbia recreational canoeing ever since.

We are located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We have members from other areas of B.C. and from other Provinces.

Our membership is made up of men and women, from youngsters to seniors, from beginners to experienced paddlers. Everyone is welcome to join the club. What ever your paddling interest is, ability, or level of experience, we are confident you will enjoy being part of our group.

Over the past 37 years, the club has received achievement awards for outstanding and faithful services to the community for its involvement with community service clubs and special projects.

What Do We Do
The main focus of the Dogwood Canoe Club is paddling. We have a full calendar of a variety of trips for members to participate in. Scheduled trips are lead by our veteran members on a volunteer basis. There are trips available for any skill level. The D.C.C. emphasizes Safety. Check the calendar to see which trips and/or social functions you would like to participate in.

An important goal of the Dogwood Canoe Club is to offer its members the opportunity to improve their paddling skills. Training clinics are provided free with membership. We welcome paddlers of any level of experience to take advantage of our training program.

Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday each month (Except July/Aug), 7:30pm at the Westburn Community Centre, 4781 Parkwood Cr. Burnaby. Visitors are always welcome.
