This clinic is designed for tandem and solo paddlers who have completed the Basic Flatwater canoe clinic and can demonstrate competence in basic flatwater paddling. It may also be used as a refresher for those who already paddle slow rivers or white water. Prerequisite is Basic Flatwater, or equivalent training.
Session outline
This full day clinic will meet at an appropriate river for a dry land lecture followed by practical paddling instruction in the water.

Equipment
Those taking the clinic are required to supply their own equipment.
- Equipment Needed
- Canoe
- Paddles including spare
- Extra Floatation (float bags or inner tubes)
- Personal Floatation Device (PFD)
- Whistle
- Bailer with string
- Spare Clothing in water proof container
- Wet suit and booties are recommended
Transportation & Food
Participants will be responsible for their own transportation and meals for all sessions.
