Universal River Signals

All river paddlers are encouraged to know and use this set of standardized river signals. When any of the signals is used, it must immediately be passed on to other paddlers following behind. Everyone on the river should have a whistle accessible for emergency use only. The whistle should be attached to the outside of the Personal Floatation Device (PFD).
